This tutorial is designed to introduce pre-service foreign language instructors to various topics related to technology. The primary goal of the tutorial is to make students feel comfortable with new tools so that they can start taking full advantage of them.

The term "technology literacy" is used in the same sense as the traditional term "computer literacy." However, the new term is chosen here because it better represents the present situation which involves more than computers alone. This tutorial assumes that students have some experience with using computers such as handling floppy disks, copying files, knowledge of directories (or folders), elementary word processing, etc.
